Canaan Dogs
When purchasing Canaan dogs you may request to see photos of the sire and dam of the litter from the breeder.
They are medium-sized, well-built and very laborious. They have a dense coat, straight legs, deep chest, and countenanced on the face are alertness and determination. The ears are pricked, wide at the base and rounded; the animal stands 19-24 inches high at the withers, and weighs between 35 and 55 pounds.

These animals were intended for tough climatic and political conditions of Israeli life. They were developed in the 1930s in Israel, although archeologists have discovered ancient depictions resembling this animal, dating as far back as 2200 BC.
